Take me back

Faces I swipe with my eyes

And with no particular interest

As if I am just a viewer

Of my own world

I miss the butterflies

And rainbows

And little insects that make the sound

I miss people when I am around them

I am the loner in the crowd

Take me to the forests

Take me to the sea

Make me believe again in miracles

That are yet to be

Take me home

Oh please take me home

Take me away

Somewhere where I am alone

But with you.

Show me butterflies and birds

Chase me across poppy fields

Let the sound of my laughter lead you to me

Call me names

Make my eyes twinkle

Like stars in a child’s dark room

Take me to the forests

For I don’t fear monsters anymore

But men scare me now
